A language is a door to another culture and another way of thinking. We aim to feed our students’ curiosity about the world and deepen their understanding of it, through the learning of language.
Students learn another language in order to express individual thoughts and feelings, exchange and debate ideas, appreciate authentic texts, as well as for practical purposes.
Regular exploration of grammatical structure and etymology will enable students to independently construct their own sentences and ideas. We aim to make learning enjoyable, interesting and informative, while emphasising the importance of regular practice in order to build up skills and knowledge in reading, listening, writing and speaking. Maximum use of the target language during lessons will be encouraged, in order to build confidence and spontaneity in students’ speaking and writing.
