Success for Stoke High School as students celebrate GCSE results
Today marks the culmination of an important chapter for Year 11 students at Stoke High School as they collect their GCSE results.
The school is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown resilience and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.
This year’s cohort achieved particularly highly in biology, physics, photography and French, with many students gaining the highest grade 9s overall.
The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.
While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:
- Zofia who achieved eight grade 9s overall, including in English, citizenship and art.
- Miriam who achieved a grade 9 in Portuguese and photography.
- Lena who received grade 9s in citizenship and Polish, and a grade 8 in history.
Stoke High School is committed to creating a welcoming and ambitious learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their full potential. As part of Ormiston, the school is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, gains the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
Karen Baldwin, Principal at Stoke High School, said:
“Our Year 11 students have worked incredibly hard, and we are so proud to celebrate everything they have achieved today. They have shown real determination, resilience and ambition throughout their time at the school, and these results are thoroughly deserved.
“Congratulations to all of our students. We can’t wait to see where their next steps take them and wish every one of them the very best for the future.”
